Without adequate training, confined space operations, and particularly, confined space rescue is a risky scenario for both the employer and their employees. Both OSHA and NIOSH studies have uncovered hundreds of people miscalculating their chances of survival in a confined space operation. The objective of the rescuer is to attain the capacity to assess and react quickly to anticipated or unknown hazards that are causing a risk to personnel and/or the operation. The rescuer must implement a change in the operation to remove the hazard or increase the margin of safety, thus lessening the risk to the victims and themselves.
The main objective of this two-day class is to provide the rescuer with the skills to make legal and safe confined space entries and rescues. Our trainers will provide students with realistic props and scenarios forcing them to stride beyond their previous comfort zone. Attempting a confined space entry or rescue without proper training and simulations would be a game of chance you can't win.
