This eight hour class will promote awareness, safety, and security among employees involved in the transport of hazardous materials in commerce.
The class objectives are:
- Preparation of shipping papers including the bill of lading and hazardous waste manifest.
- Shipping protocols for hazardous materials via land, water or air
- Markings, labels, and placards for proper transport of hazardous materials.
- Proper security measures for the preparation and transportation of hazardous materials.
- Emergency response procedures for accidental spills or discharges.
